Contact us
Email support@trystaq.app. We check this inbox at least once every 24 hours.
It helps if you include:
- your Staq username;
- your iPhone model, iOS version and the app version (Settings, at the bottom of the screen);
- what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead;
- a screenshot, if there is something to see.
Please do not send sign-in codes, medical records or anything else you would not want in an email.
Delete your account and data
In the app, open your profile, then Settings, then Delete account. You confirm in four steps, the last of which asks you to type DELETE. It happens straight away, it is permanent, and neither you nor we can undo it or get any of it back.
It removes your profile, name and photo, your staq and everything you have logged, your posts, comments and votes, your lists and follows, your streak, and the images you uploaded. Two things stay: an anonymous note of why you left, if you give one, which is not linked to you and so cannot be found and deleted afterwards; and a username you reserved on this website, which is held against a phone number rather than your account — email us to remove that.
If you would rather we did it, email support@trystaq.app with the subject "Delete my account" and your username. We will check it is you, delete it, and tell you when it is done.
Logging out or removing the app from your phone does not delete your account. The Privacy Policy explains what else you can ask for.
Report or block someone
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
To report a post or a comment: tap the three dots on it and choose Report.To report a person: do the same from their profile. Pick the closest reason — Spam, Harassment or bullying, Harmful or dangerous advice, Misinformation, or Other — and add a note if it helps.
To block someone: tap the three dots on their profile, or on any post or comment of theirs, and choose Block. You then stop seeing each other's profile, posts and comments, and any follow between you is removed. They are not told. Your blocks are in Settings, under Blocked accounts, where you can undo one. A block does not hide your staq, and it does not keep blocked accounts out of search results.
For anything there is no button for — a list, an automatic staq update, or a report you want to follow up — email support@trystaq.app with the username and, if you can, a screenshot.
Our rules say what is not allowed on Staq. We remove content that breaks them and close the accounts of people who keep breaking them.
A post of yours disappeared
Every post's text is checked automatically, and a post that the check judges to break our rules is hidden without a person looking at it first. The app does not currently tell you when that happens. Automated checks get things wrong. If a post of yours has gone missing and you think it should not have, email support@trystaq.app and a person will review it.
For brands and manufacturers: correct your listing
If you make or sell a product and something about it on Staq is wrong, we want to fix it. Email support@trystaq.app with the subject "Listing correction" and:
- the product name and, if it has one, its UPC or barcode number;
- what is wrong (an ingredient, an amount, a form, a photo, a discontinued or reformulated product, a brand name);
- the correct information, with something that shows it: a current label image, or a link to the product's official page;
- your name, your role, and a company email address, so we know the request comes from the brand.
We correct errors when we are told about them and shown the correct information. Scores and grades are Staq's opinions, produced by applying our methodology to label data and published research, so we do not change a score on request. When the information behind a score is corrected, the score is recalculated. Product names, logos and photographs belong to their owners and appear on Staq only to identify the product; if you want an image of yours replaced or removed, tell us which one.
Report a data error
Anyone can report a mistake: a wrong ingredient or amount, the wrong photo, a duplicate, a study attached to the wrong compound, a summary that misstates a study. Email support@trystaq.app with the product or compound name and what is wrong. A photo of the label is the fastest way to get a product fixed.
A product is missing
The catalog is large and it still has gaps. Email support@trystaq.app with the brand, the product name, the barcode number if you have it, and a photo of the supplement facts panel.
Reservations and share links
To change or remove a username you reserved on this website, or to have a share link (trystaq.app/s/…) deleted, email support@trystaq.app with the phone number you used or the link. The site also remembers your reservation in your browser; clearing the site's data in your browser settings removes that copy.
Text messages
Staq texts you a one-time code when you sign in, and texts people who left a number on this website when Staq launches. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts from that number and HELP for help. If you reply STOP you will not receive sign-in codes until you reply START. Details are in the Terms.
Privacy requests
To ask what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it or to have it deleted, email support@trystaq.app. The Privacy Policy sets out your rights, including the Consumer Health Data section for Washington and Nevada residents.
Copyright
If something on Staq infringes your copyright, the Terms explain what a notice must contain and where to send it.
What we cannot answer
We cannot tell you what to take, how much, whether two things can be taken together, or what a symptom means. Staq is information and tracking, not medical advice, and nobody at Staq is your clinician. Please ask a doctor or a pharmacist. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. See the Medical Disclaimer.
